One of my favorite things to make right now are my shabby chic banners!
Until now, I've only made the 7 X 8" banners like this one in my shop. But I had a special request a couple of weeks ago to make a bigger one for a really nice lady who owned a fabric boutique.
I immediately thought fabric = Amy Butler (she's one of my fav designer's & I have tons of her paper by K & Company). I needed 7 different designs to make the word 'Classes,' and I had the perfect ones in mind. This was one of my favorites because it just pops...
I played around with the pennant size and decided that 8 X 12" looked the best...then I got to work on picking the ric-rac, pom-pom's and frills to go with each paper design I had chosen.
Also, for my regular sized banners, I use a Stampin' Up! Alphabet stamp set for the lettering, which would have been too small for this big banner. Thank goodness my sis-in-law has been so generous as to let me borrow (forevah) her Cricut. Because it rocks, and it cut these perfectly big letters to top off the banner.
You know it wouldn't be one of my creations without lots of glitter, tee hee ;) And I still hand-sew the crepe paper rosettes but I just didn't make them as tight so they would be bigger.
So, if you are in need of a banner...I'd love to whip one up for you, just let me know ;) They are so whimsical and fun...perfect for parties, holidays, in a kids room, or year-round!

So darling Jamie, and the best part is, your banner will be in someone's shop! That is very cool! You should have her send you a pic of the window she put it in!
