Beach Camping Fun

I promised my girls some fun over the weekend and boy did we have it!  We're trying to soak up every last minute of summer while we can (but don't get me wrong, I'm ready for fall ;)

We had a whirlwind of a time...

...climbing trees...

...and watching fighter jets zoom by overhead...

It was the neatest thing, when they had a six jet formation!  But I didn't have my camera ready and they were way too fast for me to catch.

Meanwhile, we played on the bay, digging, digging, digging...

...with the American Flag waving in the background...

...so I was feeling rather patriotic :)

This was our home for the weekend...

And we walked the labyrinth, just like on our last trip...

We also did some kayaking, but we didn't go out this far...

And the girls loved the Koi fish in the meditation garden.  But, I didn't get much meditating done with three wee ones in tow...

We loved the flower gardens though and got to enjoy those a bit...

And most importantly...we got to spend the weekend together.  It's always a lot of work to camp with the kiddos but it's all worth it, because they have so much fun.

What do you do for a quick weekend trip, to get away?  With, or without kiddos?
