Lake Kayaking & Creek Play

We took a trip to Douthat State Park this past weekend to eat, kayak, and be merry!  We spent some quality time with family and enjoyed the outdoors a bit too much...

These two decided to get wet, even though the water was freezing cold (and now they have colds themselves)...

But at least we got to have some fun kayaking in the lake first...

That's me, waaaaay out there...

 

I had fun practicing my Vogue moves while walking around the forest too...

We love the outdoors in the fall, and it's really feeling like fall here now, which has been lovely.  We've been decorating for Halloween and still have so much more to do.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend...what did you get into?

Oh goodness it looks like you guys had a great time, we love the outdoors too so much.
Since we have been raising our grand daughter we haven't got out as much as we wanted this year. But she is growing like a weed so hopefully we will be able to camp and such more next year.

I think it's really cool that you have a red door and mums too! Only super cool people have red doors and mums! LOL!

What wonderful photos! Looks like you had an amazing time. So sorry to hear two of your sweeties caught cold. :( Hope they are now feeling better. We went to our local Ren Faire (and I didn't take photos...bad me!) And now we've had nothing but rain rain rain. We are looking forward to going to a wonderful arts & crafts festival this Sunday. I'll be SURE to take my camera with me!!!! Theresa
