I seem to do this every time one of my girls is having a birthday! I create birthday themed stuff for THE SHOP. It's funny how I create for my shop, based on what I'm inspired by or what's going on in my life at that time.
I'm planning a birthday party for my soon-to-be 10 year old. Double digits? I don't know how that happened, but I'm gonna get all sappy if I talk about it, so I'll just leave you with this 'Birthday Girl' Crown I made yesterday...
It's made with oodles of vintage goodness...from the German glass glitter to the vintage sheet music, or the doily and silver button.
Modeled by the birthday girl herself...
I hand-painted and distressed it, to go with the vintage theme, then added teal ric-rac and stamped the letters individually...
It's now in the shop HERE, because even though she thought it was super cute, my birthday girl isn't much of a pink fan. Which is funny because I refused to wear pink when I was little. I was such a tom-boy...hilarious I know ;) I didn't start wearing pink until I met my, now husband, in college and he bought me a pink sweater and I loved it. I've been a pink girl ever since!
Anyway, if you've got a birthday girl or boy who you think would be darling in a similar crown for their big day, please let me know...I'd love to do a custom order for you.
Jamie :)
So cute, Happy Birthday to your daughter, she's in the double digits now! Bittersweet isn't it?
