We went to the apple orchard last week, on a field trip with my daughter's class. We walked, and walked, and walked...
...and can you believe, that out of two bags of apples, only one came off of a tree!?!
We ended up picking our apples up from the ground because that was all that was left...
It was a bit windy & chilly, but we had a great time with friends. And having a picnic here...
...wasn't so bad either ;)
We loved this guy (I think he's the biggest pig I've ever seen)...
So, we just wanted to share our tip with you. Don't go apple picking in late October, tee hee ;)
Jamie :)
oh! i guess such a thing is hard to predict. but at least you had fun, that's the important thing!

What lovely photos! Thanks for sharing. I remember when we picked peaches late in the season - that most of them came from the ground. LOL They made for fine pies and preserves, though. :) But it does lessen the fun idea of picking "right from the tree!" Have a great night! Theresa
