I wanted to show you the Advent Calendar the girls and I made. We posted about it (and linked to the tutorial), in the making stages here.
It was super easy and lots of fun! We did ours a little differently with the scalloped circles and glittered edges (because you know it's not a project in our home, unless it has glitter on it ;)
Many of the trees were too small to put the goodies inside, so I made funny little rhyming notes and hints of where the treat could be found inside the tree. The girls looked forward to opening it every day and it was cute to watch them try to figure out what it was and look for it too.
I hit up the dollar bins at Jo-ann's, Michaels and the party store...and the girls got anything from glitter glue, to fuzzy stickers, coloring pages, and lots of fun candy treats! My favorite so far was the Claus House craft kit we showed you.
Can you believe Christmas is almost here...
I almost bought a 1 pound Reese cup for Day 25 (because that's the girls favorite sweet treat), but I just couldn't do it...honestly, they'd try and eat it all at once and make themselves sick!
Their advent for today, is a trip down to D.C. to the Zoo Lights event! Gotta go get bundled up, that wind is whipping ;)
Happy Christmas Eve Eve everyone,
Jamie :)
