We got a letter home from school last week, saying our daughter had an art peice selected to be in the county art show on Saturday! We are so excited and proud of her.
But before I show you her artwork, I wanted to show you some of the other talent. I mean these kids are amazing! I think this was my favorite...
This eye totally stood out from the others around it. The way the colors blended together worked perfectly...
I'm not even 100% positive that this is a photo, but that is my best guess. That's when you know you have good artwork!
If you can't tell by now, I have a love for close up art and these colors just pop...
There was a series of three pictures with this one, but I didn't get a good photo of them all. The others had sugar and something else I can't remember on the lips...but this one was neat...
Another one of my fav's! I love the way watercolor looks and how the face just fades out...
This one is pretty interesting and got an award.
And I think all the pretty colors drew my eye to this one because I love bright colors. The pictures in the backrgound are pretty neat too.
Now, I saved the best for last! My daughter's art work...
Mama's so proud!
I am truly amazed at the talent that our local kids & teens have. It makes me want to be an art teacher or something, hmmm...maybe that'll be my next calling in life, tee hee ;)
Jamie :)

Congratulations to your little one!!!
Looks like a lot of talented kids in the art show.
I was just watching the Remarthable contest and your mom's friend won. I am sure that she is so excited. Congratulations.

kid art is THE BOMB JIGGITY -- and you have truly amazingly talented daughters. :) they take after their momma that way.
I still have my paper dolls up in my office, they make me happy :D
for whatever reason, i believe that if we let kids get more creative, the world will be a better place..and if we let them draw on old concrete walls, it'll look better too!
Thanks for taking us along :)
