Someone tell me why this pup decided to use the restroom all through the house yesterday!?! Not once, but TWICE!! Too cold? Was he mad at me for something? Who knows?
He goes out around 4:30am, 8:00am, and then every couple of hours afterward throughout the day...not seeing how he feels like he needs to relieve himself in the house. I took him out and basically begged him to 'go potty' in the morning for like 5 minutes...he refused. I let him in the house to put the girls on the bus and came back a few minutes later. I opened the door to a lovely surprise, yay! ;) So I got mad at him and put him in his playpen in the basement.
When I let him out a bit later, he looked like this...
...so I cuddled with him and said I was sorry. Does he not look so sad?
But, here's the kicker...he DID IT AGAIN, later on in the day, literally an hour after I had taken him out!! Why? Someone please, tell me why! I need a doggy whisperer, tee hee.
Oh, and did I mention that this was all after the house had just been cleaned (of course that's when he would chose to do this). So, in the last 2 days, my house has been mopped 3 times. Now, that's one shiny floor!
In better news, I've been working diligently on some Christmas and Holiday things for the shop. Here are a few cupcake toppers in the making...
Now, off to photograph and post them (hopefully today)...
Jamie :)
If you haven't changed anything in the routine or his environment, I wonder if he has a UTI? That can explain the out of the blueness with the behavior.
Or did you add all the holiday decorations? If he's a new dog, that could be upsetting for them. It's a break from the routine.

I was going to suggest the same as Sarah, that he may have a UTI or some other illness which could cause him to urinate indoors. If it keeps happening, you should get him checked by your vet, as it may be a sign of a more serious condition.

Just let him know that the last pup that did that in your house was sent to the farm and was never allowed back home! (P.S. It's cold on the farm and there are no more openings :)

Poor little pup - he does look a wee (no pun intended) sad. I am not sure of the cause. We have a male dog and a female dog. Our male tends to go potty a lot in the house - always has. Although he is fully aware of where he should go. It doesn't hurt to have him checked out at the vet, in case of an illness.

…I just want to clarify that the farm is not what you think ;) ;) And Roscoe, would NEVER survive on the farm, he's a whimp, tee hee.

Jamiecakes!!!! Hahahahaheheheheeeee Mister Lovee and I LOOOOVE that photo of you and sad pup, boy did we laugh :) OH WHAT A DOLL!!! He is HUGE!! I love huge dogs. Hmmm, maybe he didn't feel good? I dunno. Pups can be so funny. At least he didn't do it on carpet right? I mean, mopping three times stinks, but how about puppy poo and pee in your white carpet, ahem ;) That was Miles when he was a baby. But, I didn't care, he was too cute.
I wonder what was going on with your boy?
Let us know if you find out?
Also, love the shop treats!!
Love, V
