This (lunch date yesterday)...
...kinda defeats the purpose of this...
But hey, I'm trying to get in a little excercise here and there (with baby in tow). If I can just get my eating healthy back on track, I'll be good-to-go!
A little sign that I can do it...
As I was picking up little miss from pre-school yesterday we saw this on the side of the road. POWER TO THE PEOPLE, hahaha. You know we had to turn around so we could snap a pic.
I know what I need to do...I just need a little motivation. What is your motivation for staying healthy? I think mine is going to be to give away the rest of the peppermint kisses my husband spoiled me with (sad face :(
Jamie :)
Several years ago I had a bunch of tests done and came to find out that I really shouldn't eat a lot of carbs, oh thats easy I'll give up potatoes, pasta, bread etc etc, but oh know it wasn't that easy it was all of that plus carrots, green beans, fruit, and on and on! I was sure I would die, but my doctor asked me (reminded me) "aren't you a vegetarian, like for your entire life, since birth???" Oh well yes but "I think you have just shown me that I am in actuality a CARBarian, thank you very much" I practically scream at him. :) So after about 4 months of detox and so much green food that my digestion will never be the same... I felt healthier, I felt more alive and vital. Now two years into the process of changing my taste buds, all I have to do is have a couple of days of sweets, breads and luscious potatoes to feel rather drained and tired and realize that my new way of life is the healthiest one for me. So, I try to eat at least 50% raw green food each day and I feel health. Thanks for asking!!!
