What's been up yo!

Oh.my.word...it has been forever! I've missed you all and I'm so sorry I've been MIA, but boy have my family and I be been into some crazy stuff.

We went to OBX this summer for a week with a bunch of friends and we had a really hard time leaving. You can see why...

We hiked and geocached and went on lots of adventures. I don't even know where the summer went! It's like we blinked and now we are a couple months into school :/ I feel like the older I get, the faster time goes by. Do you feel that too?

Baby loved picking peaches. They were the juiciest most delicious peaches I've ever had!

I'm still gettin my Crossfit on. But...I didn't really get that 285 lbs off the ground, bwahaha ;)

On a really sad note, our sweet Roscoe passed away. He just couldn't get around any longer and it was one of the hardest things our family has gone through. He was the best puppy ever!! The girls still ask me, 'Mama are you gonna cry about Roscoe today?'

My husband turned 40 and we celebrated in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, with a much needed vaca sans kids! This was the sunrise from our huge deck! I got up every morning around 6am to catch it and we stayed on the beach until sun down. It.was.amazing (more on that later :)

In cuteness news, we rescued a new pup from Homeward Trails Animal Rescue! His name is Boots. He is cuddly and rascally and we are eatin' him up.

And he is eatin' us up ;) Kidding. But seriously, I don't get a lot of work done during daylight hours because, well...see for yourself...

It's like having another baby in the house. Which you know I love me some babies! But we are so done, hahaha!

Also, I'm taking drawing lessons and trying to learn all I can about Illustrator and Photoshop, so i can break into the Graphic Design world. I can't say how long it's gonna be, but it'll happen and I'm so excited to be able to make clip art, papers and freebie printables for you!

For now though, you'll have to settle for just my ol' Etsy shop ;) I'm working on a ton of new products to be released soon too, yippee!! I'll keep ya posted.

I could type for days about what we've been up to, but what about you? What have I missed...besides you know...YOU!?!

My Old (dog) Man

How long has it been since I've blogged...sheesh?!?

Well anyway, thought I'd share a pic of my ol' Roscoe giving me cuddles this morning. He such a sweetie! I'm just starting to notice signs that he's getting old, gah. He's starting having trouble on walks and his back legs will go out from under him as he goes up or down stairs sometimes. Boxers are the best dogs, but their average life expectancy is only 9-10 years, which makes me sad when I think about it because he just turned 8. Love my Roscoe P. Coltrane :)

All in a Snow Days Work

I had so much to do today, but the winter weather kept the kids home from school and this is what we did instead:

We played in the snow...

I finished a painting that I started yesterday (while outside in the nice warm sun, I might add)...

Baby Face-timed her big sisters friends...

I made some Super-Hero cupcake toppers for a friend...

We made Perler bead projects...

The kids started to drive me crazy with their constant need to be entertained and the bickering, so I had some stress relief...

We made chocolate chip pancakes (and I did NOT eat one, yay...oh wait, I did have fresh baked cookies ;)...

We put together a couple of puzzles...

Then we went for a snow playdate with friends that turned into a fun late night game of tripoli...

Sometimes it stinks to not be able to get done what I had planned. But it's always nice to have these unexpected play-days with the girls, because, before ya know it, they'll be all grown up and, well...that's all...I don't want to get all sappy and start to cry ;)

What the Fox Say!?!

We have so much fun with our advent calendar every December and this year is no different! I found this adorable set of woodland creature ornaments and today, it was time to bring out the fox!

This morning before the girls left for school, I blasted 'What does the Fox say' on the stereo and we had a dance session as the girls met their new friend...

I'm sure you've already seen this, but if you need a good chuckle, watch this silly video. My kids favorite part it the end...

'Whaaat is yoooour sooound...wiiiill we ever knooooww?' Bwahahahah...

Happy 1st Birthday to our Baby :)

I don't know where the time goes...but I know we are having fun!

I can't believe our baby was born a whole year ago! It amazes me...the stuff she learns everyday, from us, from her awesome sisters. The milestones just pile up so quickly at this stage and I'm eating up every minute of it...cupcakes and all ;)
