Have I mentioned that I have a 3rd grader who doesn't only march to her own beat...but leads her own band (hence...the outfit)...
We have completed the first week of school and she's loving it :) But I'm guessing that by now, the teacher either thinks she gets dressed in the dark or is blind, tee hee.
Please tell me this is an age thing...please tell me it gets better...puuuu-lease tell me that when I called my Mum to rant about the outfits this week, she didn't laugh hysterically & tell me that I did the same thing when I was her age!
I admit...I was a tomboy and there was no way in you-know-where, that I was letting that PINK *gasp* sweater anywhere near my body! But other than that, I think I was a perfect little angel ;-) And now, pink is one of my fav colors. Ever since my husband, er'...boyfriend at the time...bought me that pink sweater back in 1998, it was all over & I can't get enough pink! Oh how the times change ;-)
Anyway, I'm rambling...back to my rant! This child o' mine makes me laugh/cringe/shed a tear at her choice of outfits and accessories. She looooves accessories...her latest being silk scarves that don't match whatever she's wearing.
And why oh why must you where Ugg boots when it's still 75 degrees outside my dear? And with a cute skirt...oh, where are the fashion police when you need them?
This is actually one of the better outfits of the week. Yesterday, as she was coming off the bus...one of her friends parents said, 'here comes the vest,' hahaha, yeah...no comment! I'll let you imagine that one ;-)
Sooo, now that that's off my chest...I will just say, I am very proud of her! I'm glad she has a mind of her own and doesn't care what people think. She is who she is...she's unique & I love her more than life! That girl will be something one day (just hopefully not a fashion expert ;-)
Jamie :)
