A Sweet Sneak Peek & a Discount...

We have been in party mode all month!  Halloween parties, birthday parties, baby showers...mostly which are being hosted here at our house, yay!  So that leaves me with busy, busy, busy...and surprisingly I'm not feeling too stressed, which is always a plus.

I'm actually already thinking of Christmas!  I've already started shopping (which is early for me ;-)  And I've already got some cute things ready for the shop.  I'm thinking...Holiday shop update will be soooooon...TBA if you will.

International Peace Day

Today, is a beautiful day!  And to make it even better...it's the International Day of Peace. 

Sooooo, my good friend Roo decided to have a Peace Party on her blog, what a great thing :)

These photos represent peace to me.  I had such a lovely trip with my family.  The girls had a blast and we got lots of relax time in.  I'm sure you figured it out by my clues, but if not, we went camping at the beach!  And I'll have many more photos ready to share throughout the week.

What on earth :)

Anyone know what this is...

We have no clue!  I kept seeing them in a tree where we walk Roscoe to do his business...and finally, we couldn't take it anymore...I had pick one to get a better look.  I was going to cut it in half because the girls wanted to see what was inside...but then, Daddio took it and threw it down on the pavement.  And do you know, it took him a good 2 or 3 times to get that thing open because It was so hard. 

I tried to Google it and came up with anything from Horse Chestnut to Monkey Balls to an Apple Gall, that is basically a wasp nursery (which sounds really cool, but kinda creepy).  I couldn't find any pictures though and thought maybe one of you had come across something like this before.  It sure is a beautiful color isn't it?

I had to share the latest pic of our flowers, speaking of color...

The girls crack me up...declaring this the 'Daddy Flower,' because orange & yellow are his favorite colors.  And funny enough, this is the only one that has bloomed out of that whole bunch.  We have other flowers, but they were planted from pots.  This one came from seeds that the girls had thrown here and there just to see what would happen.  So, you can imagine how proud they were of themselves that this one decided to bloom first, tee hee.

They are such Daddy's girls!  Today, we met my good friend, WorkoutMommy, and her boys at the park and my oldest got stung by a little bee...her first bee sting out of her almost 9 years of life, poor thing.  Well, let's just say we had to immediately leave to go home and get ice.  But the whole way home, it was...'I want to call Daddy, whaaa whaaa.'  Okay, so I tried calling Daddy but got his voice mail and do you know what she said in her saddest voice ever?  'Whhhaaa, I just waaaant to hear his voice Mommy, let me hear the message!'  How sweet is that, tee hee?

Now for some exciting news...

Vanessa has posted a tid-bit about her Halloween Fête, yippee yay!  Oh please won't you join in...we had so much fun with the Mad Tea Party a few months ago.  Click here for my Tea Party post if you'd like to get a taste of what these blog parties are all about.  I'm hoping I can come up with something even more exciting for Halloween...seeing as how it's one of my fav holiday's and all!  There is a little button over there in the left-hand sidebar for future reference too.

Fall is in the air & Halloween is right around the corner...my fav time of year...

Sisterly Love

Well, the 'tax free' weekend here in Virginia is now over and we took full advantage of it!  We got almost all of DQ's back-to-school clothes and stocked up on school supplies for the classroom and home.  I found it hilarious that the panties we got for DQ, said 'wedgie free' on them...who knew they had such a thing, hahahaha!

So we even got a few outfits for little ms. Pre-schooler (although we knew she didn't need anything because of all the hand-me-downs from big sissy)...we just couldn't resist that face when she was so excited about school.  And you know she was thrilled as can be to pick out some pencils of her own, which made me smile ear-to-ear...kinda like when they are sweet to each other like this...

 

...just melts my heart :)  I can't believe the summer is almost over, I feel like it just started.  I can't believe that my girls are going to be in 3rd grade and pre-school.  What will the baby do without her sisters...she'll be bored out of her mind!  Maybe she can help me create some new things for the shoppe, tee hee.

Okay, I've got some ideas fresh in my head so let me get started.  And I know I'm waaaay past due for another art journal post...this summer has taken a toll on everything I want to get done here, tee hee...but it's been worth it (as you can see from those cuddly girls up there).  One more month till school starts back up and I promise I'll be better ;-)
